We are the Simmons Family. Original natives of North Carolina and Tennessee, now find themselves residing in the greater Huntsville area of North Alabama. Tiny Tallows is a family-owned business born out of a mother’s quest for clean, safe products for her children. At Tiny Tallows, our passion lies in creating natural skincare solutions that embrace simplicity and tradition. The journey began with a commitment to develop formulations that are gentle on the skin and free from all the junk found in big company brands.
Discovering the remarkable benefits of tallow was a pivotal moment for us. Rich in collagen, vitamins, and nutrients, tallow became the centerpiece of our handcrafted creations. Each product is meticulously handmade in small batches, ensuring the highest quality, using only locally-sourced, grass-fed beef tallow combined with carefully curated natural and organic ingredients. Each ingredient is researched and selected for a specific purpose for each product and vetted for purity.

About the Founder
Erin Simmons is an educator-turned-mom with a degree in Child and Family Development from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She began learning about following a more natural lifestyle in late college when her health was not as great as it should have been as a young collegiate athlete. When Erin became a mother herself, she was determined to create a home filled with only the safest and most effective products for her family—not just for her kids, but for herself and her husband as well.
Her journey into researching healthy, clean ingredients revealed just how daunting and time-consuming the process could be. Driven by her passion for creating a toxin-free home, Erin successfully curated a “clean” lifestyle and began sharing her knowledge with other families.
When her own son began struggling with dry skin, especially in the winter months, Erin was inspired to go beyond just finding a solution—she sought to create a product that met the highest standards of safety and effectiveness. She wanted something she could trust wholeheartedly to use on her son. This commitment led to the birth of Tiny Tallows.
Erin has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, as she would often start “small-businesses” in elementary school selling anything she thought people would buy. Including handmade tattoo art and charging .25 per drawing. Thankfully she has evolved over the years to sell better quality products. During her student teaching she lived with a couple from her church who were also entrepreneurs. Melanie was a self-employed artist and she taught Erin the ends and outs of running an Etsy shop and making and selling art. Post college that turned into making t-shirts and vinyl stickers as a side hustle as she worked as a teacher and coach. Over the past few years Erin has been making products in her home that her family uses and sold the excess in various local Facebook groups and marketplaces to other moms/ladies that were looking for the types of products she was making. That is exactly how Tiny Tallows began. She started making the products for her family and thought, “I wonder if anyone else would have interest in this?” She threw some labels together from her art supply cabinet and made a couple Facebook posts. The response was overwhelming and she decided to run with it.
Tiny Tallows was founded to give busy moms a one stop shop for their own skin products and give them something they could feel comfortable with putting on their kids. With simple, clean, and research-backed ingredients, Tiny Tallows has become a trusted brand for families. Whether tackling eczema in little ones, soothing dry, cracked hands from long workdays and dirty-dishes, or providing anti-aging benefits, Tiny Tallows is designed to grow with your family and meet its evolving needs.
When Erin isn’t handcrafting superb products, you’ll find her chasing after her two boys, catching up on her favorite podcasts, diving into Bible studies, or sharing her tried-and-true tips for healthy living with friends and family.
