Will the Tallow clog my pores?

Tallow, rich in nutrients and healthy fats, minimizes pores and deeply hydrates without clogging them. It allows skin to breathe while promoting a smoother complexion. Regular use enhances moisture and supports the skin's barrier for a healthier, more radiant appearance.

What if I have acne prone skin?

Apricot oil is beneficial for acne-prone skin, rich in vitamins A and E. It regulates oil production, absorbs quickly, and prevents clogged pores. Its anti-inflammatory properties soothe irritation. Frankincense, known for its healing properties, reduces blemishes, aids skin regeneration, and promotes even skin tone. Its antiseptic qualities prevent infection and offer anti-aging benefits. Together, these ingredients effectively combat acne while nourishing and healing the skin.

What does each product smell like?

All of our tallows use only the minimal amount of essential oils needed for skin enhancement. Essential oils are highly concentrated and just a few drops will allow their benefits to be reached. That being said, the oils are not made to scent the product as you would find in most commercially made products. So each product has a very light, faint scent.

Age-Defying Tallow- The smell is lightly fruity. Women have often noticed little to no smell depending on your sensitivity to scents. Feedback from men using the product do not find the smell overpowering.

Tiny Tallow: Lavender- The hint of Lavender gives this tallow just a faint scent. Personally I am not a fan of lavender and never purchase lavender products. However, mixed in the tallow the final product gives the smell of birthday cake.

Mallow- The smell is light and woodsy. Very faint and will not be overpowering and lingering on the skin.

Where do you get your ingredients from?

Great question! As a mom, and someone with an anaphylactic allergy, I ALWAYS want to know exactly what ingredients are in the products I’m using. At Tiny Tallow we offer full transparency and have a whole page dedicated to breaking down the ingredients in our products. You can check it out HERE.

Do you offer refunds/returns on your products?

Unfortunately, right now no refunds or returns will be accepted for the products. Currently our operation is small and one day we’d like to provide that option. For now we ask that you contact us with kind and constructive feedback on our product you were unhappy with and kindly give it away to a friend or family member who can enjoy it. Please reach out because we would love to offer you a discount code to try a different product in the future. However, if there is a defect with your product please take a photo and send us an email and we will be happy to assist you.

Should I get the Lavender or Unscented Tiny Tallow?

This is a preference. Some people are sensitive to essential oils or prefer to not use them at all on their kids, especially in newborns. That is why I created the unscented option. However, if you are concerned because your skin is super sensitive, the ingredients in all of our products are extremely clean, gentle, and mild that even the most sensitive skins should not have an issue.

Is the Tiny Tallow for adults too?

It is! However, the ingredients are different. It contains coconut oil which is a heavier oil to apply extra moisture and hydration to the skins of little ones. And some adults do not like using coconut oil on their face. So it is a preference thing of what you are looking to use the product for.

How much do I use?

A little bit goes a long way with our products. A dime to nickel size amount is perfect for the Age-Defying and Mallow when being applied to the face/neck. However for body coverage a quarter size amount until all areas of desired application are covered.

Why are some containers plastic and some glass?

We want to provide the best product to suit our customer’s needs. Both of our Tiny Tallow products (Lavender & Unscented) are designed for kids so our containers are plastic to prevent accidental breakage if kids access it. They also are wide mouth so you can get adequate amounts to cover kids head to toe. The amount of essential oils present in the Tiny Tallow and Mallow is below the threshold for leakage into plastics.

Our Age-Defying Tallow has a higher concentration of essential oils and it needs to be in a glass container for that purpose.

Will this heal my (insert your skin condition here)?

Our products are designed to remove the use of chemicals from the skin, by using ingredients from nature to nourish. Our hope, and the experience of many customers, is for our products to provide you with relief. However, every person is different and results may vary. We always recommend a patch test if you fear any allergen to our products.

Is there an expiration date?

We are beginning to label all products with a “Best By” sticker on the bottom with a date that is one year from production. Personally I have used my own tallow products from the shelf for multiple years without any hesitation. Important things to keep your product in its best condition is to use clean hands when applying and prevent introduction of any bacteria. If you notice a rancid smell or mold growing in your product discard it immediately. As always use your own discretion.
